FIRST 100% TURKISH CAR TO BE LAUNCHED

The premiere of ‘Turkey’s Domestic Car’ which have been expected for years in Turkey, was held in Gebze with attendance of President Erdoğan. Erdoğan said, fort he manufacturing of the car the factory will be built in Gebze on the land belongs to Turkish Military Services.
According to the decision issued by the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed, Domestic electric car production facility will be established in Bursa and project based state aid will be given. The facility which will be established newly by Turkey’s Automobile Industry and Trade Enterprise Group Inc. ,the total fixed investment amount will be 22 billion liras. The duration of the investment is determined as 13 years starting from 30 October 2019, which is the starting date. If the investment cannot be realized within the stipulated period, the Ministry of Industry and Technology will be able to give an additional period of half that time. 4 thousand 323 people will be employed in the domestic car production facility and 300 of these people will be qualified personnel.
It is planned to have autonomous driving feature of the local car which is planned to go on the roads in 2022. Thanks to the autonomous driving feature, domestic car users will have the opportunity to travel safely and comfortably.
One of the major goals of TOGG, that the domestic car will receive Euro NCAP 5 stars before launching in 2022 with its active and passive safety equipment. On the other hand, the domestic car’s 2-wheel drive 200 horsepower, 4-wheel drive is said to be 400 horsepower. The price of the domestic car is not yet clear. Because mass production started in 2022. The production of electric cars will be 175 thousand units in 5 models per year. For the investment which will be given Project based government aid, there will be custom tax exemption, KDV exemption, %100 tax discount, 10 years insurance premium employer share support without maximum amount limit, 10-year income tax withholding support, 360 million TL qualified personnel support, interest and bonus support and allocation of investment location and purchase guarantee will be provided.
Domestic cars will be offered in two alternatives: 200 hp and 400 hp. With a range of 500 kilometers and fast charging, it will allow charging in under 30 minutes. 200 hp version of the domestic car, 0-100 km / h acceleration in 7.6 seconds, while the 400 hp version will reach the same speed in 4.8 seconds. Updating the software via smart connection will be offered as standard.
The domestic car will have the longest wheelbase in its segment, the largest interior volume and the highest performance. The car’s axle distance will be around 2,800 millimeters.
TOGG Chairman Rifat Hisarciklioglu gave important information: “We will not buy a license, we will sell a license, we will not mount. We won’t work for anyone else’s patent. We will employ other engineers for our own patent saying Hisarcıklıoğlu, and told TL 22 billion investment will be made for domestic car.
Hisarcıklıoğlu said that domestic automobile will provide employment to 20 thousand people together with the supplier industry, including 4,300 directly. It was recorded that the establishment of the production factory was completed in 2021 and that in 2022 the first vehicle would land.
